On Monday, Allison travelled to Peterborough to see the Places in Cases displays made by students from St. Joseph’s School.
Over the last term, students have been working in small groups to fill a repurposed travelling case with physical items related to a historic image of Peterborough. These items were chosen to represent the smells, sounds, sights and emotions of the event depicted. The students did a fantastic job, as they produced several engaging displays and were able to discuss their mini-museums in depth.
Feedback from students about the program was also overwhelmingly positive, with many having enjoyed the chance to learn more about the history of their town.
